UGG boots, which are also referred to simply as "Uggs" are a boot made from sheepskin.They are predominately anAustralian product, with New Zealand also producing them in more recent years. When the boot was originally invented, is disputed with many people raising a hand to claim credit as the first manufacturer. The boots were, however, being manufactured as early as 1933!

Their appeal is the double sided sheepskin used which provides a comfortable and warm sheep's wool interior and a soft-tanned outer surface. A synthetic(rubber) sole is generally attached to the bottom to improve wear and lifespan.
